Domainz (MelbourneIT) accredited .EU registrar.

Domainz (MelbourneIT) announced recently that it is one of the first Domain Name Registrars to be accredited by EURid, the European domain name registry to register .eu domain names.

.eu is the first TLD dedicated exclusively to the European community. As a domain space it is therefore going to represent over 450m people across Europe and is a major step forward for establishing one online market and meeting place for the EU community.

This .eu information kit is designed to answer any questions you may have in relation to the release of this new domain space. It is important to note that holders of primary rights (e.g. Trademark holders or public bodies) will have the opportunity to register .eu domain names ahead of holders of secondary rights and prior to the open registration phase (i.e. landrush) via a Sunrise process.

However; Domainz (MelbourneIT) stresses that all phases are on a "first-come, first-served" basis, and as such it is vitally important to start planning now the strategy for protection of your organisation's intellectual property in this new domain space.
